Zimbabwe had its share on the news headlines for much of the last 10 years. We had a humanitarian crisis, quite a sad situation right there but thats not what I want to blog about. I want to talk about the big homey Nas and Damien Marley. "Road to Zion" you remember the song right? If you listened to it closely, on Nas' verse, he says something like "President Mugabe, holding guns to Innocent people in Zimbabwe." I dont know how far true that statement was but whats making the news right now is the duo is back in the studio working on an album called Distant Relatives.
Maybe Distant Relatives is real afterall. An artwork for the eagerly awaited collaborative disc from Nas and Damian Marley has emerged on the web. I have to admit, months of "now you see it, now you don't" disappearing acts sapped my enthusiasm for the release. So, it's refreshing to see concrete evidence of the album's existence. It's tentatively set for March 2010. (Henry Blog)
