After malicious rumors and allegations doing rounds in the media and social circles, The Jazz Musician Alexio Kawara decided to open up and share with fans, friends what almost cost his life on Sunday 23 May 2010.
"After careful consideration I've decided to open up about my car accident which occurred Sunday morning around 5am." Alexio said. "I was coming from a show in Chinhoyi by Shankuru Jazz out, my designated driver was driving us back, i had three members of my band with me in the car, the driver fell asleep and the car veered off the road and smashed in to the wall, luckily nobody got hurt or injured." He continued to explain. Asked what might have saved his life Alexio said "I personally saw the hand of God because when i look back to where i was seating in the car, it defies physics how i could have come out of the accident injury free." A lot of people been trying to reach out and find out bout this sad event to no avail. "I know a lot of my fans have tried to find out about the accident with no avail but i decided to open up because i believe all my friends and fans deserved to hear about this from me not the press" He continued to show his appreciation and love to the fans marked by these kind words. "Because you guys have carried me to the top and its only right you hear about this from me.. I've recovered from the ordeal and so has everyone i was traveling with." Alexio is feet and back at rehearsal today.
