WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ANY HISTORY BEHIND THAT NAME?
Reverb is a musical effect that is added to to instruments and vocals that gives them more of a presence. This has always been my favourite effect so when i had to choose a name, it was the first that popped into my mind. There were a number of groups called reverb and it was too late to change my name, so i added a 7 at the end, my favourite number.
WHAT DO U THINK BOUT AFRICAN HIP HOP, ZIM IN PARTICULAR
African hip hop generally keeps going from strength to strength. We now have a number of prominent artists such as Naeto C, A.K.A and D'banj who are making srious moves on the African hip hop scene.
From what i have heard, i believe Zimbabwe is one of the most talented countries in terms of hip hop. The potential here is amazing! Its just that the industry is very young, but once it grows, Zim hip hop will definitely be a globally recognized force, in terms of both artists and producers.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF SAY FIVE YEARS FROM NOW,
I see my crew and myself being musical giants! We will definitely be household names, recognized regionally and globally..
WHAT KIND OF GENRES YOU WORK WITH
Primarily i'm a hip hop producer. However, I am currently working on a house/dance album which will be dropping soon. The album is going to be crazy! I,ve already released the first single, September (featuring Tags), and I will be releasing the next single very soon, its called "Run Away"
and features Andre and Dj Macson (who co-produced with me and mixed and mastered the track.) I also make R&B and pop, and occasionally dancehall and rock.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU DO?
I'm a part of an entertainment company called Beyond Ent. We will be very active very soon so watch this space. I will also be launching my clothing line very soon.
WHO DO YOU WORK WITH? (CREW/AFFILIATES/FAM)
First and foremost, i work with God. He gave me this talent and i wouldn't be able to do what i do if it wasn't for Him. I work with my crew, Showtime Records, thats Tags, G.O.R.E, Andre, 0-25, the Flying Dutchman, Hollywood P and myself. We're a very talented bunch.
I also work with Ill Ceey, Dj Macson, Tehn Diamond, Synik, Black Bird, Mix Masters, Rehab Ent., Blah Ent., and many other artists. As a dj, i've played alongside Dj Naida, (who has a project coming soon), Raydizz and Dj Stibo. Shout out to Hwmit also...
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY WAS YOUR BEST PROJECT TODATE AND WHY?
I'd say my latest project is always my best project. This is because I am always improving.. so right now, I'd say the house/dance album..
WHAT INFLUENCES YOUR WORK
I listen to everything really, so i get inspiration from many different sources, ranging from artists to producers. However, I'm mainly influenced by my crew... We're such a versatile crew and with so much going on in terms of the genres we cater for, there is always a new challenge.
WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO WORK WITH
I'd like to work with every artist on the billboard charts. I'm always looking for a new challenge.
