American pop rock band Maroon 5's seventh studio album, Jordi is finally here and we are particularly interested with track number 7, titled One Light featuring Hollywood based Zimbabwean artists Bantu real name Tinashe Sibanda (vocals) and Dr Chaii real name Philip Kembo (credited as song writer)

Listening to the lyrics, it is easy to understand, "One Light" is a metaphor for love required to navigate through life’s ups and downs. The song is about finding light in midst of what seems like a perpetually dark world. Love in this case is light at the end of tunnel as the chorus suggests

One light, one light, one light
It's a damn dark world
But there's one light, one light, one light
Long as I'm with you, then it's alright
It used to feel like life was an endless midnight
But now I got one light

The song was written by Tinashe Sibanda (Bantu), Philip Pip Kembo (Dr. Chaii), Miles Breithaupt, Kirsten Urbas, Jacob Kasher, Cirkut, Cameron Breithaupt, Ant Clemons and Adam Levine. Whilst Noah Passovoy, Father Moth, Cameron_Brigham and Cirkut are credited as producers.

The song features Adam Levine on the first and second verse, whilst Bantu handles the last verse and also joins in on the chorus.

The album is a tribute to the group’s late manager, Jordan Feldstein, who passed away in 2017 from a heart attack. The new project includes posthumous features from Juice WRLD and Nipsey Hussle, and additional appearances from Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Nicks, Bantu, H.E.R., YG, and more
