The family of missing British-Zimbabwean actress Tanya Fear has confirmed that she has been found safe by the Los Angeles police. This was through the @FindTanyaFear Twitter account which the family is said to run. According to Sky News, Tanya’s family in Britain had contacted the UK Foreign Office who in turn contacted LAPD to begin inquiries. The actor was said to have been missing since September 9.

Family members had described her as “a bubbly, intelligent young woman” and expressed that they were “deeply worried”.

The family had also announced plans to apply for visas to travel to the US to start their own search party on the ground. However 48 hours after Tanya's family had launched the Twitter account announcing her missing, the LA police department confirmed that she had been found. The family statement after confirming Tanya was safe said:

"We are extremely grateful to every single member of the public who helped in finding her. We couldn’t have done it without you. We understand she is not physically harmed, but as a precaution, is being assessed at a local hospital"

Tanyaradzwa "Tanya" Fear has appeared in Dr Who, TV's Spotless, Endeavour, DCI Banks and Midsomer Murders. She has also been in the movie Kick-Ass 2 and had recently started doing stand-up comedy.
