In a live stream yesterday, the full list of nominees for the Pogues 2021 ZimHipHop Awards was revealed. And although they had a lot of obvious picks, they were also some surprising omissions. Kikkybadass leads the way with 7 nominations followed by Holy Ten with 6. However one of the standout stars of the year in Tanto Wavie was nowhere to be found. Tanto had arguably one of the best albums this year and it's just a wonder why he's nowhere to be found. Maybe he didn't submit his music?
2021 marks the 11th edition of the annual Pogues ZimHipHop Awards, they hold the honour of being one of Africa's longest-running Hip-hop Awards show. The nominees were announced via a live stream on Tuesday 16 November by media personality Farie Jules and the awards Director and Founder Aldrian “Beefy” Harrison.
The nominees show also unveiled a newly created accolade which is set to replace the plaque which was given to previous winners. The ceremony is set for Bulawayo Theatre in Bulawayo on December 11 under the theme “culture breaking boundaries”. Here is the full list of the nominees for the Pogues 2021 ZimHipHop Awards:
