MVM Drops The Visuals For "No Hesitation"

The video for MVM's debut single No Hesitations dropped yesterday as a special Valentine's Day treat, just for the lovers. It had been a long time coming but the video was well worth the wait.

The video wasn't just a visual representation of the music but a celebration of black women. From the dark scenes with subtle warm lighting, to the costumes and performances. It is in equal parts beautiful, seductive and provocative. Part of tweet from the duo on the song's release read:

AND WE ARE LIVE! Celebrating Valentine’s Day by showcasing an array of beautiful Black women, feeling themselves.

The video also quickly received a nod of approval from the YouTube Creators official account and fans of the duo are loving it.

Neo-soul and electronic singer-songwriter duo, MVM made their musical debut with their single, ‘No hesitation,’ in May 2021. Co-produced by MVM and Khalil Madovi, the song is a sultry little bop ladened with heavy synths and an infectious melody. Call it a post-lockdown mating call to your person(s). The band is composed of songstresses Mutsa Mupita and Ruvimbo Kuuzabuwe, who are of Zimbabwean heritage.

The pair describe MVM as a sisterhood, the fusion of two separate entities brought together by the universe for a purpose bigger than them. Their angelic vocals and seamless harmonies stand testament to this fact. Directed by filmmaker and multi-disciplinary creative Sheena Brobbey Bonsu, the accompanying video for “No Hesitation,” is a titillating montage exploring the nuances of Black women’s sexuality. It aims to celebrate Black womanhood, as intrinsically beautiful, in all of its forms.
