Vitalis Chikoko Named to the French Basketball League's All League Team

Vitalis Chikoko was recently named to the LNB (Ligue Nationale de Basket) Pro A's All-League Team, recognizing him as part of the league's best starting five. Chikoko was named alongside 2023 number-one NBA draft pick Victor Wembanyama, Matt Morgan, Nando De Colo and Ronald March. He expressed gratitude to his family, fans and club as he shared the news via social media.

Currently known as the Betclic Élite for sponsorship reasons, the LNB Pro A is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. Chikoko currently plays for Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez, who are 9-time champions. He is in the second season of his second stint at the basketball. He was there from 2016 to 2019 but left for Metropolitans 92 for two seasons before returning in 2021.

In the 22/23 season, Chikoko was averaging 14.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.1 blocks, 76.9% on free throws and 26.3 minutes per game. In his 12th professional year, Chikoko is still highly regarded as one of the best players in the league. Last year he was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the French Cup after inspiring his side Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez to their fourth French Cup title and the first one since 2007.
