This coming Saturday the 4th of November, Borrowdale Country Club (Harare) will be host to the country's first ever Rock Festival. The Flame Lily Rock Festival. Named after Zimbabwe's national flower the flame lily, a symbol of beauty and purity, the festival is the brainchild of renowned event host Ngoma Nehosho.

The festival will be headlined by Alternative Rock band Prime Circle (South Africa) and singer Jo Black (South Africa), alongside homegrown talent in Josh Ainsley, Evicted, Bhana and Jonsolo. As a big Rock fan himself, Walter Wanyanya who's organising the event expressed excitement at this inaugural edition of the festival. Kicking off as a one-day event, Walter shared with The Chronicle that they would hope to scale it up as more editions came by.

Flame Lily Rock Music Festival will carry our fingerprint of excellence and we have curated it for those that love rock music. The genre may not be very popular, but it has a good enough following for us to embark on this journey. - Walter Wanyanya (Ngoma Nehosho)

The festival will be running from 2 pm to 10 pm, with gates opening at 1 pm. Tickets are priced at $40 for general access and $80 for VIP. Tickets are available from Borrowdale Country Club, Pariah State Borrowdale and Pariah State Avondale.

Ngoma Nehosho is known for organizing the Jacaranda Music Festival, which held its 6th edition a few weeks ago. This year they also hosted the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert.
