'Zimbabwe Special' Episode of The Grand Tour will mark the end of Amazon Prime motoring show

Amazon Prime Video has announced the conclusion of its beloved automotive series, The Grand Tour. A special filmed in Zimbabwe back in September and scheduled for release in 2024 is set to be the final episode of the motoring show featuring the dynamic trio of Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. This grand finale will not only bid farewell to the hosts but also bring the fifth season to a thrilling end.

While fans may be disheartened by the news, the future of The Grand Tour remains uncertain. The network is currently exploring options to continue the series with a new set of hosts, although an official green light has yet to be given.

Despite the conclusion of The Grand Tour, Jeremy Clarkson enthusiasts have something to look forward to. The announcement of a fourth season for Clarkson's Farm on Amazon Prime Video adds a silver lining to the news. In a statement to The Times, Clarkson expressed, "We're done. I have reviewed cars on TV since 1989. That's 34 years. And after next year, I won't be doing that anymore."

The Grand Tour made its debut on Amazon Prime Video in 2016, following the trio's exit from the BBC series Top Gear. The show's inception was marred by Jeremy Clarkson's controversial exit from Top Gear, where he was fired for an altercation with a producer. Despite the rocky start, The Grand Tour became a fan favourite, captivating audiences with its high-octane adventures and the undeniable chemistry of its hosts.
