The dynamic UK based duo, MVM, have unveiled their latest single, "Slow Down," a bouncy and bassy, yet soulful track that's all about being in the moment. It comes as the debut release from their new collaborative initiative, MVM & Friends.

"Slow Down" captures the duo's true power in play. While the track pulses with energy, it also calls for a moment of pause. It’s an invitation to connect, linger and resist the urge to rush through the enjoyable moments in life. It's bold, fun, and stamped with MVM’s sonic signature: warm, multi-layered harmonies, deep grooves, and a refusal to fit into one genre.
Produced by genre-bending producer and DJ Haruna, and featuring vocals from Mary Sho (South East London’s eclectic singer-songwriter) and Charisse C (the multifaceted DJ, vocalist and founder of Abantu), the track arrives as a joyful, defiant offering to the dance floor and beyond – if you dare.
MVM is a duo crafting a new sonic universe: layered, complex, playful - yet intentional. Drawing from their Zimbabwean heritage while unapologetically looking forward, MVM are both architects and disruptors of their creative ecosystem.
“Slow Down” is the first in a series of collaborative releases from MVM & Friends, a writing camp hosted at Tileyard Studios. MVM have built a creative incubator designed to build exactly the kind of musical world MVM want to live in—one where community and experimentation take centre stage.
MVM & Friends represents a broader vision. "We're creating the industry we didn’t inherit," says MVM. "One rooted in care, collaboration, and community—values we did inherit from our Zimbabwean culture."
“Slow Down” is now available across all streaming platforms.
