The Changamire Festival Awards will be returning for their 11th edition on the 28th of April. Set for The Backspace in Newlands, Harare, the awards will once again be celebrating Zimbabwean hip hop, along with the broader urban landscape. Ahead of the showcase, the organisers have announced the list of nominees, across 30+ categories.
This year Runna Rulez leads the pack with 10 nominations, followed by Bling4 with 9 and Saint Floew with 8.
Businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei will receive the Community Champion Award in recognition of his support of artists and youth empowerment initiatives. Socialite and entrepreneur, Pokello Nare's MCC sparkling wine will receive the Cultural Impact Product Award, while Tate Da MC will be celebrated with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in commercialising Zimbabwean hip-hop.
