Nitefreak's HiNDE set for New York debut

Nitefreak's Afro house event, HiNDE, will be making its debut in New York this September, at 99 Scott in Brooklyn. This will be the event's second edition in the US, after its debut last year during Miami Music Week, which was also the event's first international showcase.

Named after Nitefreak's collaboration with Idd Aziz, Hinde was founded in 2021, as a way to not only bring house music to the people but to bridge the gap in income due to a lack of sufficient bookings. The event's first edition was hosted in a friend's backyard in Bulawayo, and since then it has grown into one of the most anticipated events on Zimbabwe's house music calendar.

Having hosted editions across multiple cities in the country, the event is now growing a global footprint, which has seen it partnering with Gray Area - event curators who are bringing together the global house community. In 2026 HiNDE has already held a sold out showcase in Mauritius, with Bulawayo and New York already marked on the calendar.

"We started Hinde right after Covid in a friend's backyard... 5 years later we're doing America for the second time. Deeply humbled to have Gray Area support my dream." - Nitefreak

HiNDE has firmly positioned itself as a platform that connects artists, audiences, and culture through a shared sound that continues to grow beyond its origins. From Bulawayo and Harare to Miami, Mauritius, and now New York it is adding a Zimbabwean voice to the global Afro house movement.
