Jnr SA, Tefo Foxx & Ryan Synth set for ROOTS IX

From the Secret Terrace at Queen Of Hearts, to taking over Beach House, Roots has grown to become the defining Afro house experience for Harare. A home for Zimbabwe's most gifted house talents and the community that appreciates this sound. Now 8 editions in the event continues dream, and its upcoming showcase might be the event's most ambitious yet.

Roots IX is set for September 5 at Beach House in Borrowdale, and it has a mouthwatering lineup of both local and global house music talents.

Fresh off making historic waves across the continent, Jnr SA is set to grace the Roots stage at the absolute peak of his powers. The 2x SAMA award winner was recently unveiled as the flagship face and first official signing to Tech Hub—the groundbreaking new Afro tech record label founded by Amapiano pioneer Kabza De Small, which was followed by the release of his chart-topping EP, Dance To My Afro.

Joining the SA spinner will be "Abasazi" hitmaker, the dexterous Tefo Foxx. A DJ renowned for his signature, hard-hitting rhythmic drum patterns, with tracks that are a staple in the sets of international icons like Black Coffee and Shimza.

Ryan "El Jefe" Synth, a cornerstone of Zimbabwe's electronic music community, will be part of the charge, alongside Roots' pioneer and a rising global star in his own right Samuel Cosmic, the hypnotic Mimi, the vocally gifted MJ Sings, Musha stable boss TAPIWA and Tipdola.

Tickets for ROOTS IX are currently on sale via SahwiGate
