Bhekiwe is a singer "Falling," in new single

Bhekiwe is a singer obsessed with the subject of love. From the moment she made her musical debut in 2019, with "Secret Feeling," the subject has been constantly on her mind and a regular source of inspiration. Married together with her particular blend of Afro pop and R&B, Bhekiwe's love songs have earned her the title of Bulawayo's Pop Princess.

This is a title the singer continues to live up to, as evidenced by her most recent release, "Falling."

Dedicated to loving someone who makes it all worth it, Bhekiwe described the record as deeply personal. "Falling" speaks of a surrender to emotion, a surrender not in defeat but one fuelled by desire. Over vibrant production by Sparks, Bhekiwe sings: "For you, I'll do, anything you want me, to do."

The rhythm is made for the dance floor but the yearning and emotion at its heart equally make it a listen for moments of solitude. Bhekiwe's softly sung vocals are elevated by an interpolation of Angelique Kidjo's "Angolo" which fits perfectly in the background. This is a showcase of the singer at her very best.

"Falling" is Bhekiwe's second release of the year and it adds to the momentum the singer is creating with more regular releases. The song was released with visuals directed by Marcus Khumalo; a captivating showcase of choreography starring Bhekiwe that moves in tune with the mood of the song.

For a longtime a star on horizon, the potential Bhekiwe has long showed might finally be reaching its fulfilment. This is certainly a fall that may be the singer's rise.
