The Return of Jonah: The Story behind "Back it UP"

After wowing fans with the Intercontinental track "We are Africans", born on 10th January, Jonah Sithole is a very young multi-talented artist who is not bounded by limits to any particular genre. He exhibits amazing qualities in hip hop, dancehall, R&B and even in the so-called Zimbabwean local genre "Urban Grooves". Jonah has done it all, having shared the stage with greats such as Prudence Kasiyamuru, Chiwoneso Maraire (at the Harare International Festival of Arts, (HIFA) 2007) and the legendary Oliver Mutukudzi (at the final A Academy concert).

He released his first album, "Diversity", with ten tracks in June of 2007. Top producers, Andrew Baird and DS (produced the captivating album. Its relative success has propelled him toward realizing his dream of becoming an established international music artist, sharing his talent across the globe. This got him enough recognition to feature on songs with already successfully credited Zimbabwean artists namely the award-winning producer Jusa Dementor, and the Dynamic duo of Bkay & Kazz, (who respectively represent Abra Tribe and Boomslang).

Jonah is quoted as saying "Life is too short to give up what you are hungry to achieve"........rightly so as he has also won an MTV World Stage event hosted by Malaysia in 2009. He has been nominated for a Voize award for best college act; ZIMA award for the most promising artist; and had a featured performance at a humanitarian festival for the Haiti people called 'Heal The World'. His highlights for 2010 were wowing the crowd with his performance at the Super Soccer event in preparation for the World Cup and opening proceedings for the Lamborghini event in Kuala Lumpur.

Jonah aka Jo-e is a shining star on the rise and clearly has built a well-deserved reputation as one talented individual who has a vocal range that will blow your mind. This young man is more than just talented but extremely gifted and it would be hard to ignore him with this his brand new single " Back it Op".The track that somehow fuses a dancehall with R&B has an essence that guarantees a party atmosphere that makes you want to brace the dance floor. Surely critics will not be shy to admire this as it gives the Trey Songz and Sean Kingston of the world a run for their money.

Fans will certainly be impressed with this single which is set to make the ladies worldwide scream murder on the dancefloor. The music video was directed by Fedya and Guilain & will be released on May 5th, 2011 via Voice of Africa the biggest African Music portal on the Internet. "Back it Op" was released and managed by Abra Simz & Boomslang
