King Kandoro dares to bring electric energy to Zimbabwe's biggest cities this December with his Prodigal Son comedy tour. The Prodigal Son tour comes after Kandoro's sold out 'Conspiracy Theories' stand up show at Reps Theatre in 2019. 'The Prodigal Son' is a story heavily premised on the concept of finding your way 'home', amidst the confusion and delight that comes with being an adult, a husband, a father in a foreign land' Kandoro told Herald.

Asked about how the facets of fatherhood have contributed to his craft Kandoro revealed that, 'It definitely has, there's a different level of responsibility that comes with being a parent. You can’t take as much liberties with your time as you did before because everything you do now affects this little unemployed person. Even creatively, everything has to make sense and cents. But I wouldn't change it for the world. If it was up to me, I would talk about my son the whole show. Unfortunately or fortunately my boss (wife) won’t allow that.'

The shows in Bulawayo and Harare are scheduled for 22 December and 24 December respectively. The tour will include acts such as MaForty and Jaha Lezansi for Bulawayo and Andrew Manyika and Louis The Prince for the Harare installment of the tour.

I talk more about myself in this one which is saying a lot because I've always talked about myself in my stand up. There are stories about marriage, being a father, being a foreigner. I think it’s a very fun show, for me as a performer and for the audience to be part of'.
