After a long silence that seemed almost like a sabbatical, Piwa is here with her latest single No Fun. The track sonically carries multiple genres within it, from indie-rock, to pop, rap and even rnb. It's a memorable sound to say the least. The lyricism of the song itself is layered and the track gives off the vibe of Imagine Dragons meets your favourite female rnb artist. "No Fun" is Piwa's first single release from her upcoming project, Dead Ends, surfacing into the void early 2022.
The single was dropped by equally enchanting visuals directed by Aj Incammicia. The video tells the story of a twisted visit to the dentist's office with a healthy dose of horror. It's Stephen King meets Quentin Tarantino in brilliant visual storytelling that elevates the appreciation of the music. It feels like Piwa is finally growing into her own and the Chicago artist's upcoming project might be something to behold.
