Munyaradzi Chawawa Gets First Netflix Acting Gig In ‘The Sandman’ Series

UK-based Zimbabwe comedian Munyaradzi Chawawa finally made his Netflix acting debut on The Sandman series, as Choronzon - an anthropomorphic demon with pink skin and two mouths who goes head to head with Morpheus during his quest in the Netflix adaptation show of the DC comic book with the same title by Neil Gaiman.

Munya revealed the surprise news across his social media pages. “First Netflix role, baby!”, he wrote. “Doing up demon time (literally) as Choronzon in the new Netflix series ‘The Sandman’, out now!”

Munya Chawawa is the second Zimbabwean actor in the Netflix show, after Vanesu Samunyai who plays Rose Walker – a young woman on a desperate search for her missing brother, who finds a family she didn't know that she had, and a connection to Dream that neither of them can escape.

Munyaradzi's role as Choronzon marks his first acting gig in a Netflix series. however, he has previously been credited on other Netflix shows as a writer and also collaborated with the streamer in various capacities.

In other news, Munyaradzi was recently featured in the new animated superhero film DC League of Super-Pets as Chihuahua alongside Hollywood big stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart.
