DJ King Her to perform at the 2024 MTN Bushfire Festival

Natsumi Miyata, popularly known as DJ King Her will be performing at this year's MTN Bushfire Festival in Eswatini. The DJ will be gracing the "Ballantine's Firefly Stage", alongside the likes of Daliwonga, Da Capo, Stella Jacobs and Sebastien Dutch.

Lauded by CNN as one of the “7 African music festivals you really have to see”, and recently named as BBC’s Top African Festival, MTN BUSHFIRE is Eswatini’s internationally acclaimed music & arts festival that celebrates creative expression whilst promoting social responsibility, stimulating the economy and drawing talent and tourists from across Africa and around the world.


Durung last year's edition of the festival, Zimbabwean music groups Mokoomba and Bantu Spaceship/s graced the main stage and the Amphitheatre stage respectively. Over the years, the festival has hosted highly regarded names in Zimbabwean music, such as Oliver Mtukudzi, and Jah Prayzah. 


The MTN Bushfire Festival sees some of Africa’s best artists performing in an intimate and 100% socially responsible festival. 


Each year a multi-generational global community of up to 20,000 “bring their fire” to the scenic Malkerns Valley to experience an eclectic Pan-African and international line-up of live music, theatre, poetry, film, circus, dance and visual arts. The festival has been running since 2006.

DJ King Her 

King Her is a mixed fusion DJ, a producer, and a tv & radio anchor. Born in Harare, Zimbabwe and dually of Zimbabwean and Japanese heritage, King Her discovered her talent for the fine arts at an early age. While engaged in her artistic pursuits and studying for a diploma in Graphic Design, King Her also discovered her craft in modern dancing and the love of music.


Now almost a decade into her career, the DJ has gained a wide following and she has performed at almost every major music festival hosted in Zimbabwe, including Victoria Fall Carnival, Shoko Festival, Jacaranda Festival, Castle Lager Braai Festival, Castle Lite Activations, Femme Electric (National Art Gallery of Zimbabwe), The Zambezi Lager Braai Festival and Unplugged Music Festival.
