Rapper and vocalist M.I.L.E has unveiled his latest single, "Sunday," a fusion of R&B, neo-soul and amapiano. The soulful love song was produced by M.I.L.E's longtime collaborator and current stable mate (both were recently signed to World Go Round Records) Verseless, and it is the completion of idea M.I.L.E had had for years.
"I was a part of an international writing camp years ago and it was born there and intended for someone else, but when you’re creating you never realize the relationship you develop with any music that comes from such an inherently intimate place," shared the singer.
A versatile act equally at home delivering intricate wordplay over 808s and hi-hats, or emotive vocals over well crafted bass lines, M.I.L.E is an artist who shapes his sound to the story he wants to tell.
"All my music is born from the story first…What narrative am I trying to sink my teeth into? I sonically build around what serves that story until it is well reflected in every facet," he stated.
A month ago M.I.L.E was announced as one of the first signings of World Go Round, a recently launched global record label and artist collective founded by British-South African music executive Dan Roy Carter.
Launched with a global digital distribution partnership with Believe, the Paris based digital music company with over 800 billion streams in 2024, World Go Round has it's eyes set on developing "genre-blending artists from across the world."
"The only thing that rivals my elation from sharing this part of myself with everyone is partnering with a label that aligns so perfectly in plight and initiative with our creative vision and freedom," shared M.I.L.E on joining the stable.
"World Go Round is really about empowering artists from all corners of the globe to comfortably pursue every artistic direction we intend to leave a footprint in & break the mold. I can’t wait to make use of the freedom afforded in our relationship and mutual interests to continue to realize my musicianship’s potential."
"Sunday" is now streaming across all platforms.
