The 2026 NAMA Awards: See Full List Of Nominees

The 24th edition of the National Arts Merit Awards (NAMAs) will be held on the 28th of February 28 under the theme "Fearless Creativity," a celebration of creatives speaking their minds.

The event will be the first edition under the management of Reginald Matinanga, managing director of Scarlet Studios, and Talent Banda, the chief executive officer of Events Evolution, who will be overseeing the showcase for the next 3 years.

This year's edition sees the debut of the Fashion and Digital Arts categories, the former celebrating designers, while the latter features content creators and podcasters.

Ahead of the showcase the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe has revealed this year's nominees.

Jah Prayzah leads the way with 5 nominations, the most for any individual across all categories, followed by Nisha Ts who has 3. Almasi Collaborative Arts earns 6 nominations as a collective, while Essential Books Publishing Company dominates the literary nominees and we see the NAMA Awards' nominating their first ever AI arts product in the Video of the Year category - Winky D's "Fake Love."
