Zimbabwean actor Tongayi Chirisa stars in Chronos, a new indie thriller from director Gianinni Semedo Moreira. The Hollywood star features alongside Anirudh Pisharody, an actor known for work on Netflix’s Never Have I Ever and procedural drama 911.
Shot in Greece, the film follows a father who, when his family disappears on a Greek beach, is lured by an ancient device to a hidden island trail. Partnered with a fallen god of time and hunted by the goddess of fate, he must reach Olympus before the gods erase the people he loves.
The Greek mythology thriller also features Eleni Sotiropoulou and Lisa Morrell. Samantha Gao co-produced the film alongside director Gianinni Semedo Moreira.
Tongayi Chirisa currently has a recurring role in Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches as Ciprien, and recently voiced Yashuke on Assassin's Creed: Shadows, and Cheetor on the blockbuster film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
The Zimbabwean actor has also played roles on the TV Shows Women of the Movement, Another Life, and films Next Exit, The Anthrax Attacks and Trees of Peace.
The release details for Chronos are yet to be announced.
