7 years after her debut studio album Ammartia, award-winning musician Ammara Brown is set to finally release a follow up project. This will not just be a long-awaited sophomore album but a new chapter in the singer's life as she makes her highly anticipated return to the entertainment scene.
Scheduled to drop on September 7, Flaming Lily will feature 12 tracks that are set to take listeners through a deeply personal journey of love, heartbreak, joy, growth and the experiences that shape human life.
Ammara Brown's management described it as a multidimensional album, with the singer adding that it's a project driven by honest reflections.
"For me, Flaming Lily is about embracing all the different seasons of life and allowing myself to tell those stories honestly. There is love, there is heartbreak, there are moments of joy, vulnerability, strength and growth," stated the singer.
"These are experiences that make us human, and I believe that everyone will find a piece of themselves somewhere in this album."
The Flaming Lily launch campaign will officially begin with an exclusive corporate fundraising dinner on 4 September at Hyatt Regency Harare The Meikles.
Designed to combine music, business networking and fundraising, the evening will see corporate leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals connecting while experiencing an intimate performance by Ammara Brown. This will be limited to just 200 guests.
The celebrations will continue on 5 September with the public launch of the album at Reps Theatre. Ammara Brown will be joined on stage by a selection of Zimbabwean artists yet to be announced, and the celebration will culminate at midnight when Flaming Lily officially becomes available to the public.
This will coincide with the singer's birthday, creating a double celebration for the Zimbabwean music star.
An important component of the Flaming Lily campaign is the ambition to create a music video for each of the album’s 12 tracks.
“We are hoping, with what will happen at the corporate dinner and what will happen at the launch itself, that we’ll be able to do a video for every single one of the 12 songs,” said Chido Musasiwa, Ammara Brown’s manager.
The initiative is intended to extend the life of the album beyond its release and give audiences an opportunity to experience the stories behind the songs through both music and film.
Fans, corporates, brands, music lovers and potential sponsors are being invited to become part of the journey and support the next chapter of Ammara Brown’s musical career.
