Afroholic Records' latest release is one that brings together the continent in a shared expression of house music. "Pole Sana" sees Zimbabwean producers Samuel Cosmic and Bhana, joining forces with Kenyan vocalist Winyo for a progressive record made for the dance floor.
Described as a 2 year long labour of love, the collaboration is at the meeting point of music, storytelling, and emotion. Named after a Swahili phrase meaning "I am very sorry," the song explores love, betrayal and the strength to move forward.
Samuel Cosmic's signature snyth is added to by Bhana's touch, with Winyo being the final piece of the puzzle. Deep driving bass lines underlie an earnest sounding apology, even though its one that you want to dance to.
"Pole Sana" arrives as Afroholic Records' 7th release since the label was established last year, and its cross continental nature emphasises the label's mission to take Zimbabwean house music to the world. The Nitefreak led stable has already surpassed 10 million streams and is now a beacon for the genre on the continent.
"Pole Sana" is now available across all streaming platforms.
