Ecobank Legends Night is set to extend its arms in an embrace of African music this September as two of the continent's music icons join Intotal Band on stage.
Mali's Salif Keita a man often referred to as the "Golden Voice of Africa" with 5 Grammy nominations to his namr, and Yondo Sister the Congolese "Queen of Soukous" who is equally known for her dancing as she is for her music, will be headlining a night dubbed Ecobank Legends Night Africa.
This is a milestone for the platform. Initially conceived by Intotal Band as a once off concert to honour the late Zimbabwean music icon Oliver Mtukudzi, Legends Night has become a concert not to be missed on Zimbabwe's event calendar. Last year Intotal partnered with Ecobank for a headline show at HICC, which was sold out and the band repeated the feat early this year.
In addition to Salif Keita and Yondo Sister Ecobank Legends Night Africa will see Intotal Band being joined on stage by Iyasa, Sandra Ndebele, Leonard Zhakata and Aleck Macheso.
As the concert continues to grow it has the potential to not only be a place were audiences indulge in the nostalgia brought about by the music of old, but a place were a new generation is introduced to not only the country's but the continent's music legends.
Ecobank Legends Night Africa is set for Alex Sports Club on September 26.
Tickets are now on sale online via Tikiti and from Hiltons Pharmacy and Ecobank outlets.
