Award winning TV host and media personality Kim Jayde was named Best Fashion Icon for the second year running at the 2026 South Africa Fashion Awards.
Now in its second year, the award show honours trailblazers in the South African fashion space. Jayde was in contention for both Best Fashion Influencer and Best Fashion Icon, with the awards being decided by a fan vote. The media personality described it as an unexpected honour and she took to the stage to receive the gong without a speech prepared.
"BEST FASHION ICON at the South Africa Fashion Awards – as voted for by YOU THE PEOPLE, for representing South African fashion on local and international stages. I truly did not expect this, which is why I didn’t prepare a speech," she shared.
"To the fashion industry that I love so much, thank you for loving me right back. All praise be to God that I get to live my dream... Words can’t express my gratitude – I cried my eyes out the second I left the stage THANK YOU!"
Having started out in the fashion world before venturing into media, Kim Jayde's career has come full circle. The media personality has truly become a fashion iconic not only in South Africa but on the continent.
Jayde's cabinet of fashion awards now includes a DSTV Content Creator Award for Fashion & Style, an SA Style Award for Most Innovative Style, and Fashion Influencer of the Year Award from the Ministry of Sports Arts & Culture. This is in addition to Jayde's double honours at the SA Fashion Awards.
