“Zimbabweans are doing amazing things and what better way than to tell the stories by one of our brightest stars, Kim Jayde! In WorldRemit, we have a partner with a global presence and a key player in supporting community stories to ensure that we keep aiming higher.”

The premier episode featured a light-hearted exchange between Kim Jayde and ShaSha with questions about ShaSha's celebrity crush (Michael B Jordan at the moment but it used to be Chris Brown), her favourite meal, fashion icon etc. Kim Jayde also posed questions on ShaSha's 7-year journey in music so far, from Zimbabwe to now being awarded the title Queen of Amapiano. ShaSha described how she began her career in Mutare and from there she went on to Harare to continue pursuing her music and in Harare she got the opportunity to be mentored by Audius Mutawarira.

From Harare, she then travelled to South Africa where she got the chance to start linking up with artists like Rouge and Priddy Ugly. The highlight of the interview however was ShaSha's anecdote of how her cab driver once asked her what she did because she was always moving around. She told him she was into music and he told her about how he sometimes drives around Dj Maphorisa and he could link them up. At the moment she didn't buy it but some time later the cab driver called her up and lo and behold they pulled up to Dj Maphorisa's house.

From then on she linked up with Maphorisa, Kabza de small and the rest of the story is Amapiano's history. Check out the interview below:
