Cinematographer Bongani Mlambo's Debut Netflix Project "Erax" Now Streaming

Bongani Mlambo's debut Netflix project, the short film "Erax" is now streaming on the platform. The fantasy short film principally for kids is about monstrous creatures that leap from a magical storybook and unleash mayhem and mischief for Auntie Opal and her tween niece Nina in this spooky short film. The film stars Jasmine Cephas Jones and Genesis White. Bongani was the cinematographer on the project and it was his first Netflix original.

Bongani's recent projects include features, We're All Gonna Die by Rocketjump duo Freddie Wong and Matt Arnold; All Creatures directed by Collin Schiffli, starring David Dastmalchian (Suicide Squad, Blade Runner 2049, The Dark Knight) and Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jumanji); Three Days In August by Johnathan Brownlee; Upstream Color by Shane Carruth; and numerous commercials, shorts, music videos, and some television. His work has won awards at the NBC Universal Short Film Festival, SXSW, and numerous other festivals; he is a 2018 Film Independent Project Involve Fellow, and recipient of the 2019 ICG Emerging Cinematographer Award.
