Ted Lasso Season 3 Starring Zimbabwean born Tanaka Mandimika and Mary Roscoe premiers today on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ confirmed the third season of the Ted Lasso series starring Zimbabwe-born actors Tanaka Mandimika and Mary Roscoe will return today, March 15. 

Tanaka Mandimika plays the recurring character of Robbie Roberts a Forward player for AFC Richmond. He is seen with other team members and even participates in group activities such as karaoke and dancing in clubs. 

Tanaka Mandimika first appears as Robbie Roberts in the pilot episode with his last appearance seen in the twelfth episode and season finale of season two titled "Inverting the Pyramid of Success."

Tanaka Mandimika's character also features in the EA Sports video game, FIFA 23 as part of the AFC Richmond squad. "We grew up creating our players to be in FIFA. Now ya boy in it! Play with me and AFC Richmond in FIFA23" says the actor on Instagram. 

Another Zimbabwe-born actor, Mary Roscoe plays the recurring character of Julie Higgins, wife of Leslie Higgins, a main regular character of the show played by Jeremy Swift her real-life husband. 

There will be twelve episodes in season three, and the episodes will drop weekly on Wednesdays. Production on season 3 took place in 2022 and might be all fans get from the AFC Richmond team. Executive producer and star of the show, Jason Sudeikis, has said numerous times that Ted Lasso was originally intended to be a three-season story.
